Global Pumps is excited to distribute Verder’s new screw centrifugal pumps. These are a combination of both centrifugal pumps and positive displacement screw pumps. A screw shaped impeller gently moves the product into the pump’s chamber, effecting highly efficient transfer to the discharge port. A large, open impeller design is perfect for high solid content product, while the screw shape of the design is ideal for both liquids containing high-solid content or highly viscous liquids. Due to its design, Verder’s screw centrifugal pumps excel at pumping long fibres in suspension, resulting in fewer clogs and downtime from blockage removal. Reduced time within the pump translates into a low shear action, reducing damage to sensitive polymers or liquids sensitive to flocculation. Its non-pulsating pumping action reduces foaming and emulsification. Additionally, wear from abrasive liquids is reduced, making this pump popular as a solution to pump sludge and slurry in mining operations, energy production plants, the food and beverage industry, paper & pulp sector, or waste water treatment.
The new design ensures high flow, low NPSH pump, lowering energy costs. For example, the low NPSH significantly reduces pump damage due to cavitation. Verder is committed to helping its customers reduce their environmental footprint. That’s why the screw centrifugal pumps include the latest high efficiency IE3 motors. The screw centrifugal pump comes in a wide variety of configurations. Close and long coupled versions for dry pumping, or vertical pumps and fully submersible models are available to fit your requirements.
