A mechanical diaphragm pump uses a heavy-duty gear box coupled to an eccentric block to actuate the diaphragm. It is belt-driven by pulleys which enables it to use a variety of drive options.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

Mechanical diaphragm pumps operate as two valves open and close, using air pressure to force a piston back and forth. In some circumstances, balanced vanes are revolved by the air.

An air motor allows the mechanical diaphragm pump to be used in more than one application.

GDP Mechanical Diaphragm Pump

The GDP is suitable when a heavy-duty mechanical diaphragm pump is required. It can run dry and self-prime and can handle a wide range of tough applications. They are ideal for slurries and mixtures containing small particulates (e.g. sandy liquid). Additionally, they are resistant to some chemicals - and can be used to separate oily water and in wash down applications.

The GDP series is available in aluminum, cast iron, nitrile, neoprene/viton or polyethylene. Global Pumps also offers the mechanical diaphragm pump with a petrol / diesel engine or an electric motor - depending on the power required for the application. All sizes can be fitted with a carry frame for easy transport or mounting.
