(0:08) Hello, I'm Amos from Global Pumps.
(0:10) And today I'll be going over top tips for pump selection.
(0:16) So some of the things you will need to consider is things like what are you pumping?
(0:22) So once you've determined what you are pumping, whether it be a slurry or a viscous liquid, you need to understand what the properties of that fluid is that you're pumping.
(0:34) Is it a slurry? Has it got solids? What's the SG, what's the viscosity and even take into account what the temperature is.
(0:42) Once you've understood exactly what you're pumping, you then need to understand where are you pumping from and to.
(0:50) So is it coming out of an IBC or a tank or a tanker? Are you just transferring from one tank to another? Or maybe you're dosing into a pressurized line.
(01:00) You need to understand all these different factors which will come into play as to what pump you select.
(01:07) The other thing you need to take into account is your power source.
(01:11) So do you need to run it off 240 volts single phase or 415 volts three phase? Or maybe you want an air driven pneumatic pump.
(01:22) All these things will come into play as to what type of pump you'll select.
